Nadia was the wife of Runar the leader of the Neanderthal tribe and the mother of an infant called Roshan. She only appeared in the first Ice Age movie.
Her tribe was invaded by saber-tooth tigers who sought revenge for having many in the pack killed for their fur, and vowed to kill her infant son as retribution. However, Nadia was able to run away during the attack with her baby but was cornered by Diego near a waterfall. Rather than allowing her son to be killed, she jumped instead, shielding her son with her body before they disappeared over the falls. Later on she appeared alive but injured, but tired from the ordeal and used what little energy she had left to swim to the river bank where she was encountered by a passing Manny and Sid. With her last remaining strength, Nadia nudged her son onto the banks towards the two animals in the hopes that they could be entrusted with her son. While preoccupied with the baby, Nadia's form disappeared from sight. While her fate was left ambiguous, her weakened state likely caused her to be carried away by the river's current before drowning in it soon afterwards. She is one of the only humans to trust the animals.
