Like their larger relatives, mini-sloths were long-necked and stout bodied mammals with buckteeth and oval-shaped heads. Mini-sloths came in a variety of bright colours and were often seen on the ground rather than in trees, as ground sloths tended to do.


Mini-Sloths in Ice Age: The Meltdown

Mini-sloths were seen in large congregations rather than living individually as larger sloths did. Mini-sloths possessed an advanced knowledge of science, knowing that the ice in their habitat was melting due to subterranean activity, though they would still carry superstitions such as the idea of “bad juju” affecting them, and believed that by offering a sacrifice to the Earth the melting ice would cease.
